The Swedish ice cream manufacturer SIA Glass is set to launch a no added sugar ice cream box in the spring. The vanilla with blueberry swirl ice cream contains Bayn sugar reduction solution for replacing the added sugar in both for ice cream base and fruit preparation.
The company SIA Glass AB has been manufacturing ice cream with fresh cream and natural ingredients since 1961. They offer a wide range of ice cream bars and boxes for both food service and family segments comprising both traditional and innovative flavours. Sia Glass has been foremost in sugar reduction for their product and has been working for several years with development, but was unable achieved their taste expectation.
Since February 2016 Bayn Europe and SIA Glass have been in dialogue regarding sugar-reduced ice cream. At this time taste was in focus. Bayn was responsible for the reformulation of one of their ice cream to a reduce sugar ice cream product that has the good taste and quality that SIA Glass stands for.
During week 11, Sia launched the Sia Glass box for the public sector customers in Sweden. This will be a good option for people concerned about the dangers of sugar or people with diabetes problems.

Bayn hopes that the Sia Glass launch is just the first step in a market entry and that this will lead to an enhanced cooperation and more sugar-reduced products will reach the consumers.
