Earlier this spring representatives from Bayn met parliament member Erik Anderson to discuss technical solutions to reduce sugar and society’s role in this. As a member of parliament for Nya Moderaterna, Erik Andersson has a clear interest in public health and realises like Bayn that over-consumption of sugar in today’s society is a risk not only to the individual, but it is also something that can cause society very high costs.
“Public health is very important to our party”, says Erik Andersson. “It was most interesting to hear about Bayn’s solutions and that it is possible to reduce the content of sugar at the same time as you retain flavour. We see every day how obesity and vascular diseases cause suffering to people. To find a solution to this is incredibly important.”
